MJS: freedom of movement

The system is equipped with an anthropomorphic mechanical arm able to move the patient's arm in a three-dimensional articular space.
Equipped with three differentiated motors, one for each axis of movement, the MJS 403 system is particularly indicated for the orthopedic evaluation of the rotator cuff or sports rehabilitation. In the neurological field, the MJS functions allow interactive occupational therapy. 

Force control with MJS

MJS uses three different basic movement axes (elevation / flexion-extension, horizontal / intra-extra rotation) too important to be regulated by the same force intensity.
In order to correctly differentiate the action of the different muscle groups and expand its potential for use, we have equipped MJS with three completely autonomous force regulators:
• A regulator for the elevation movement
• One for adduction-abduction
• One for the movement of intra-extra shoulder rotation.
With MJS you can ensure your patient completeness without compromise, in perfect control of the motor exercise. 

Force attenuators and load relief in MJS

MJS has three different attenuators that allow you to change the force:
• Force 1, change resistance in flexion horizontal extension,
• Force 2, change the resistance in front elevation (Light-G) by simulating a training in water,
• Force 3, changes resistance in intra extra rotation allowing to restore the balance between the muscles through the 90 ° flexion of the atropomorphic arm.
The three forces are bidirectional, in fact they can help, neutral or counter-resistance. Particularly useful is the Light-G function which allows the weight of the arm to be relieved jointly. In Light-G mode the system develops a very light and gradual push from the bottom upwards, allowing the patient to work even in the acute phase, as if he received a hydrostatic thrust in the water. With Light-G by MJS you can adjust the articular load reduction necessary to your patient with extreme sensitivity and precision in relation to the required muscular intervention.

Shoulder proprioception and pain button with MJS

For a good stability and proprioception of the shoulder it is necessary to restore a balance between the extra and intra-rotatory muscles. By flexing the anthropomorphic arm at an angle of 90 ° and using the F3 engine it is possible to program a training of this delicate muscular district in an extremely gradual and precise way.
You will be able to pursue the therapeutic and evaluative objective of repeating the same test at a later time and check whether the patient still experiences pain in the same positions.

Virtual Occupational Therapy with MJS

The programs also allow a significant motivational involvement, accelerating and greatly improving the rehabilitation process and allowing the patient to learn again to move in the most correct way.

Charts and data for a represent the movement

The MJS software module allows a clear and legible representation of 3D shoulder movement in Planar, Graphical or Anatomic mode. The Rehabilitation Tracking module is particularly useful both for performing proper proprioceptive training and for an accurate assessment at a local level. The colored spheres represent the forced transit points (Joint Position Sense), the red line represents the ideal kinesthetic path. The program provides at any time the gap between the ideal kinesthetic line and the patient track, quantifying the patient's proprioceptive sensitivity.
