The Pro-Kin Type B line systems represent the excellence of bipedal proprioceptive stabilometric assessment. There are a wide range of technologically new elements comprised within the Pro-Kin Type B line systems, such as electronic control options at fifty different graded levels.

The heart of the system

The heart of Pro-Kin system type B is managed by a sophisticated electric-pneumatic rear actuated loop.
The compressed air introduced into the system, thanks to a electronic regulator, allows a fluid and precise movement of the platform.
The instability levels of the system are 50. The levels from 1 to 10, very soft, allow an exercise also with the monopodalic formality. The levels from 1 to 50 are ideals for a very gradual bipodalic proprioceptive training.

Monoaxial block

The Pro-kin system type B is equipped with a new software functionality for monoaxial block.
The monoaxial exercise is particularly suitable for every proprioceptive rehabilitation itinerary. Only when the patient is able to manage correctly both the two axis individually it’s possible to pass to a proprioceptive bipodalic training of multi axial (with the unblocking of both axis in movement).

Trunk sensor

Another particularly innovative feature is the possibility of applying the TK Sensor trunk sensor to all the Pro-Kin line systems.
The TK Sensor, applied to the patient’s trunk, is a biaxial clinometer capable of detecting trunk oscillations in anterior posterior and right-left directions. Assessing control of the trunk during proprioceptive exercises in erect patient position.Trunk stability during proprioceptive exercises in erect patient position, indicates that the subject has good peripheral control (ankle, knee, hip) and does not require any postural compensation at higher levels.

Pelvic module

The versatility of the Pro-Kin system PK 252 expands itself with the Trunk Module. Equipped with thirty levels of instability , the Trunk module allows an exercise and an evaluation of the pelvic part in sitting position in the Feedback mode.


The Pro-Kin Type B line flagship system equipped with four load cells, offers the possibility of transformation into a complete stabilometric system. By closing off the pneumatic circuit flow interrupters, the mobile platform accurately stabilities itself, thus allowing for a classic type of orthostatic stabilometric assessment. The protocol on the use of the bipedal system suggests a fi rst stabilometric assessment in static condition followed by a dynamic assessment under progressive instability coefficients.

Emg Module

The EMG Module connects wirelessly to the Pro-Kin system PK 252. The fact that the electromyographic signal can be synchronised with the parameters of the platform (inclination, load, etc.) at a software level is particularly useful.

Assessment Module

The software of Prokin systems comes with many assessment programs that allow the operator to understand exactly what the proprioceptive conditions of the patient are. The sensory-motor evaluation provides some tests of incremental difficulties, such as the bipedal proprioceptive control tests , the mono - breech proprioceptive control test with load controlled, the mono-pedal proprioceptive control tests with full load.

Training Module

After an evaluation phase, the software proposes automatically a series of rehabilitative paths designed to improve the perceptual conditions of each individual movement. The training modules can execute in both bipedal and mono-pedal mode. The system is particularly powerful to show the biofeedback in real time .The parameters which can be changed during training are manifold, such as the joint RoM , the control of the trunk or the coefficient of instability of the platform . Rehabilitation tracks are especially useful for correct proprioceptive training for a further check at the local level .The colored spheres represent to reach the points limit or joint transit (Joint Position Sense ) , conversely the red lines represent the ideal kinesthetic path that the client - patient should follow.
